I like being distracted while watching sunsets. You look at this temporary picturesque moment in the sky, then you stop paying attention. When you look up again, it’s always something fresh. Clouds have drifted, the light is different, the sky is a brand new hue, the big bright orange sun has suddenly descended behind the mountains or beyond the horizon. You breathe in and take in all you can, then distract yourself once more. The next time you look up, it’s yet again something new; a new sky painting, a different color palette.
That’s the magical thing about sunsets, it’s never always the same view, yet it is always alluring.
